This Privacy Policy explains how Bitiera Team ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects
information when you use the Bitiera mobile application and related services (the "Services").
If you do not meet the applicable age requirement (17+), do not use the Services.
Information We Collect
- Account: name, username, email address.
- User-provided: event details you enter (titles, descriptions, dates, venues, tags, contact links), and support messages.
- Automatically collected: device information, usage statistics, diagnostics, and crash logs.
- Location: approximate or precise location only if you enable permissions.
Cookies & Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, SDKs, and similar technologies (including web beacons) to keep you logged
in, remember preferences, improve reliability, and protect the Services.
You can manage these via your device or browser settings. Disabling them may limit features.
Photos, Face-Related Info, and Optional Processing
- No facial recognition / biometrics: we do not identify people in photos or create biometric templates.
- One-time processing: if image/text processing is performed, it is used only to provide the requested output and then deleted from our processing systems immediately after completion (subject to brief technical delays).
- Local-first: your event images/content are stored locally by default when feasible; you control whether to upload for a feature.
- No training / marketing use: we do not use your uploaded images or text to train advertising systems or for marketing profiling.
Optional server-side processing (including AI-assisted processing, if offered): if you choose to use
such features, processing occurs on Bitiera Team infrastructure (our own servers). We do not share your uploaded
images or text with third-party AI model providers for processing, and we delete the uploaded content from the
processing environment immediately after the result is returned to you (subject to brief technical delays).
How We Use Information
- Provide & maintain: accounts, event publishing, calendar view, conflict checking.
- Personalize: preferences and settings.
- Improve: analytics, debugging, reliability.
- Security: protect accounts and prevent abuse.
- Support: respond to customer support requests.
- Legal: comply with laws and lawful requests.
How We Share Information
- With your consent.
- Service providers processing data under our instructions and contracts.
- Legal & safety obligations and rights protection.
- Business transfers (with appropriate safeguards).
We do not sell your personal information.
International Transfers
Your information may be processed in other countries. Where required, we use safeguards such as Standard
Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms.
Security
- Encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate.
- Access controls and least privilege.
- Periodic audits and security reviews.
- Backups and recovery procedures.
No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active.
- After deletion: deleted or anonymized within 30 days (unless legally required otherwise).
- Usage analytics: up to 12 months.
- Support messages: up to 6 months.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction/objection, or withdraw consent.
